Feedback: The "new" noscript is too hard to use - Firefox on Windows

Post by Csky »

When I write "new" I just mean from the viewpoint of when Firefox changed their extension requirements, I think sometime around 5 years ago? It was before pandemic.
I haven't really used Noscript since then but I am attempting to use it again.
1. First of all these icons are too hard to decipher. They aren't obvious as one might guess, you have to hover over them with the mouse to see what they are. I need to see the labels of each of the icons without hovering on them.
2. The old Noscript when it would sit down below on the status bar circa Firefox 52 WAS SO MUCH MORE INTUITIVE AND EASIER TO USE.
3. Now noscript has become unusable. I try to allow permissions on a per site basis but it doesn't work anymore.
4. Per site permissions need to be editable. It is too hard to export the txt file, edit it and then import it. Why? Because instead of appearing in a neat list down the left margin the sites are all over the place.
That's just the beginning.
IMHO if you reverted Noscript back to something that looked more like the original UI then you wouldn't be receiving so many questions in this forum.

Moving to NoScript General
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!
