Hex Codes in Icons

Post by Skeezix »

Using Firefox...

If I disable NoScript and then go to the below site I see an envelope and a bell next to my username in the upper right corner of the XDA page.

https://forum.xda-developers.com/f/goog ... pro.12609/

If I enable Noscript, quit and restart Firefox, and to the XDA site, the envelope and bell icons are replaced by circles with hex codes inside them.

Why is that and what can I do about it?

Also, when I try to post this message I get an error: "Ooops, something in your posting triggered my antispam filter... Please use the "Back" button to modify your content and retry."

How do I fix this problem?

Removed your second post. Please don't give spammers hints about the spam filter. :P

For me the icons changed from hex codes to icons when I enabled "font" capability for xda.developers.com, but I don't have an account there, so can't be sure this would also fix the specific icons you're referring to

I didn't see anything resembling "font" capability when I looked thru my configuration parameters. Where were you when you enabled it?

Just after setting xda-developers.com to Custom in the NoScript popup for that site. But any preset that has "font" enabled will do (Trusted does by default).
