Smilies
Since we're in a complaining mood of late (relating to the new board, & not that it really matters, but)...
I'll just comment that I don't care for the (new) Smilies.
While "cuter", if you care about that, I find them far harder to distinguish, so less informative, compared to the older, simpler versions.
(And while I'm at it, I might as well throw in a smilie .)

Re: Smilies
I have to agree, not a big fan of the square orange smilies either.
Thankfully, a first world problem.

Re: Smilies
+1 and not just that, some of these smilies express a very different emotion than is named in their tooltip, some have totally different meaning than their old counterparts

Re: Smilies
(I'll point out, that I generally only use two smilies, wink & smile.
And rarely use the Smilie "picker".
And the only reason I use those two, is that I happen to know the "code" for them ; - ) & : - ).

Re: Smilies
I need to agree with this one. I'm not a big fan of the smiles on here either and probably wont use them just due to the block look.

Re: Smilies
I switched to the square smilies because unfortunately phpBB still uses GIFs (so no alpha based anti-alias), and the original smillies set has horrible white borders which clash with dark themes.
I've restored a slightly tweaked version of the original set which fixes this issue.
