Hibernate inactive tabs.

Moin Moin.
In order to help a 4,5 years old machine avoiding virtual-function-call-suffering (and to save some energy as well), I wanted to ask for afunctionality to suppress JS/CSS for inactiv-tabs, unless explicitly allowed by means of the usual NO-JS-Snake-Forbidden-Sign-Menu.

NoScript is a security tool, not a resource saver. Any resource saving NoScript results in is only a side effect of its security measures. Blocking CSS is outside the scope of NoScript.

You might try a combination of uBlock Origin and/or something like Auto Tab Discard. (I use uBlock Origin myself. I have no personal experience with Auto Tab Discard, just know there are several extensions like this and Auto Tab Discard is the only "Recommended extension" that came up in a quick search.)
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!
