'Flashgot link' not working

Hi, I've just started having this problem with the FlashGot link to send to a download manager option. In the past, Flashget would usually pop up and allow me to download, but what's happening now is that well, nothing happens. The FlashGot thing on the status bar flashes, then disappears, but Flashget (or any other download manager) never gets opened. I've un and re-installed FlashGot, but no luck. I'm using Firefox 3.5.3, latest version of FlashGot. The log shows:

Please check if you've got permissions to write in the temporary directory listed in FlashGot Options|Advanced.
If not, either adjust the permissions or choose a different directory.

I ended up doing a Firefox wipe and reinstall, and that seems to have done the trick. Thanks anyway!
