NoScript blocks access to DuckDuckGo (search in URL bar)

Post by Aak »

Typing search commands in the URL doesn't activate duckduckgo.com any more, also just going to duckduckgo.com doesn't work any more. Other search engines still work as default engine, only DuckDuckGo is blocked suddenly. Duckduckgo.com is set as trusted in NoScript. Disabling Noscript directly enables the functionality again.

Moving to NoScript Support.

Your description is too vague for us to be able to help you. What does "doesn't work" mean in your case?

We've had a number of DuckDuckGo-related threads lately, e.g. -
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=26151
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=26155

Do either of those describe your issue?

Maybe to vague indeed. But typing in the duckduckgo url really doesn't do anything. No action at all. The typed in URL even disapears. Disabling Noscript fixes this. I can send you a videocapture if you want.

Could you please try using NoScript Options>Advanced>XSS>Clear XSS Choices?

Thank you, that's much clearer.

If you need a finer-grained test than what Giorgio suggested, see viewtopic.php?f=8&t=25254
