[RESOLVED] Help troubleshooting failed loading of geetest audio

Post by Tree »

Recently, right around the time NS updated to the latest version, I have been unable to get the geetest vision impaired audio to load at https://signin.ebay.com/distil_r_captcha.html.

It pops up for a brief second before immediately closing. It never did this until just recently. I tried troubleshooting everything I know how to short of disabling NS which I would rather not do on ebay if possible. I was hoping there is something else I can look into before resorting to that. I have eliminated any other settings, extensions that I can think of. I looked through the browser console and developer tools but it just says it was blocked, under network, CSP (Content Security Policy: The page’s settings blocked the loading of a resource (“media-src”).

Any chance this might be something related to a change from a recent NS version?

Thank you.

Do you know what NoScript version you had when this definitely worked?

It would have been either 11.0.46 or 11.0.47.

Do you see this problem if you downgrade NoScript to 11.0.46 and 11.0.47 using the link(s) I posted above?

I haven't tried something like that before and would be nervous I would create more issues. Is there any other way I could figure out the cause before trying something like that? A more detailed error log somewhere?

Please check whether this still happens with latest development build 11.1.2rc1, thanks.

[Edit]
Replaced the reference to 11.1.3rc1, which didn't actually ever exist, with 11.1.2rc1, identical to 11.1.3 (version bump due to AMO issues).

In the meanwhile, 11.1.3 has been released in the stable channel.
Does the problem persist after upgrading?

My apologies on the delayed response.

11.1.3 does fix the problem for me. Thank you kindly.
