base domain not properly blocked?

Not sure if this is intended behavior, or if I'm doing something wrong. I'm using FF in private mode with NoScript and uBlock Origin (also Privacy Badger, Https Everywhere, and Decentraleyes).

But I'm seeing uBlock Origin block dramatically MORE elements when the base domain is BLOCKED by NoScript, than when it is allowed. Surely something is wrong here? Shouldn't there be less stuff loaded when the base domain is blocked? Happens on a lot of sites, I'm using Reuters as an example in the attached screenshots. Would greatly appreciate your assistance in narrowing down the relevant settings impacting this.

What *type* of resources are blocked by uBlock in eccess when the base domain is blocked?
If they're static content (esp. images) it's entirely possible that they're <noscript> replacements for ads/trackers which wouldn't be loaded if scripts are enabled, but wouldn't not be compensated by the corresponding external <script> tag because it's still blocked by NoScript if you only allowed the top document.

Yes it is, good catch. You may want to put a whitelisting filter on that URL to have "clean" results from uBlock.
