FlashGot sends to Orbit

Post by LSHAW1 »

FlashGot lets me select the file to download, but when it goes to Orbit, orbit retries over and over again, and is never successful in downloading the very short video.
Are there special settings I need to make? Where and how do I do that?
How do you "clear" all the files that are in the FlashGot window?

It may depend on the server side settings being incompatible with a trick FlashGot uses to force the file names on videos.
Please try to set the flashgot.media.forceNameHack about:config preference to false.
Good luck and let me know.

Thanks, Giorgio, that worked.
I simply uninstalled Orbit and set the flashgot.media thingy to FALSE by double-clicking on it.
The website where I get a lot of the short, short video backgrounds is www.pond5.com. After the download, I use Free FLV converter to convert the FLV files I download to avi files and then I can use them in my Movie Maker videos.
