[RESOLVED] NoScript misconfigured?

I'm using lastest NoScript on a WinXP and WinVista pc. On both pcs firefox 3.0.13 was installed.

Until version 1.9.8.4 everything worked perfectly.

After updating to version 1.9.8.5 the Vista pc just the standard configuration was used.
So I tried to revert the update and installed 1.9.8.4 again.
But the problem still occoured.

So I uninstalled Firefox, deleted all folders and installed version 3.5.2.
I reinstalled all addons. I installed xmarks and all bookmarks were transfered.
I clicked the sync thing in noscript (I don't know the english name of it), cklicked ok and confirmed the popup that noscript should use bookmark's setting.

I retried that lots of times but the situation is same everytime.

Because I uninstalled firefox the "create new profile" things should be unnecessary.

Now my WinXP pc is still working correctly (FX v 3.0.13), WinVista (3.5.2) is still not working.

The standard configuration of noscript.

maone.net and so as white list.
The sync option was and is enabled too.

Now I backuped the WinXP pc's noscript configuration and imported the file to the WinVista pc.
I continue testing.

Appears to be a synching issue involving Xmarks configuration. The symptom seemed to be that NS in one machine was reverting to defaults at each session, instead of synching with the custom settings expected in the NS bookmark.
The OP has probably solved their problem with their own actions:

I'm using xmarks for bookmarks syncing.

PC1: WinXP SP3 Fx 3.0.13.
PC2: WinVista SP 2, was Fx 3.0.13, now Fx 3.5.2

xmarks 3.3.3 is installed on both pcs.

After upgrading my WinVista pc to Noscript 1.9.8.5 the default values are used. So google.de was not whitelisted and scripts were forbidden. The WinXP pc was still able to update noscript's configuration.

To solve the problem I downgraded to 1.9.8.4 on WinVista pc but the problem was not solved.

I retried lots of times but after I while I gave up.

So I though the problem is a broken Fx profile.
I uninstalled WinVista's Fx and installed 3.5.2. Installed my addons (xmarks and so on) and configured NoScript to sync whitelist. My bookmarks were synced before I checked the option to sync whitelist.

I retried lots of times again and imported WinXP's Noscript configuration. Now it worked some time but after a while default configration of NoScript was published to xmarks. Now my WinXP pc had same problem. I restored an older bookmark transaction but it was impossible to restore a working Noscript with my config.

So I uninstalled my WinXP's Fx, too and installed 3.5.2. I backupped my obviously full noscript config of WinVista pc and stupidly overwrite my working noscript configuration.

Now just default configuration was avaiable in a file but bookmarks configuration was obviously store correctly.

Now both pcs used default configuration in noscript and no one used store xmarks bookmark.

This morning I tried to backup to default configuration and just replace the default whitelist with the bookmark's whitelist.
And this failed too.

Now I don't know how to use my whitelist in noscript without adding every site after site.

Was that popup from NS or from Xmarks?
If it was from Xmarks, is there a way to change what file is stored on the Xmarks server - because it appears that Xmarks may be forcing that configuration on both your computers now?

OK, problem solved.

I removed all entries for bundesprüfstelle.de (no protocol, http:// and https:// and now all sites are listed in noscript after importing file. (File means: export default configuration, copy all whitelisted sites from bookmark to configuration file, delete to above mentioned domain and import the file again to noscript.)

Uploaded to xmarks and a forced import to the other pc later and it's working there too.

OK, just to double check if the bug is in XMarks or in NoScript: does manual export/import of a configuration including the umlaut site work?

I added the domain to pc2, exported the file (works; domain included), imported (works; domain included), syncing to xmarks (works).

Syncing pc1 (error; just default sites in noscript!).

Domain is included in bookmark!

Could be: error in reading bookmark file in noscript or xmarks makes htmlenties or so!?

ü=ü in html.

EDIT: If I check bookmark the domain is listed correctly.

It's probably an encoding issue fixed in 1.9.8.7.
