When I visit certain NYT pages with noscript on, somehow the site disables noscript and allows the javascript to actively block the content. I can see the NS icon change in front of my eyes from blocked to allow.
E.g. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/02/25/opin ... tions.html
How is this even possible?
NYT somehow bypasses noscript

No, it's not possible for a website to overturn NoScript permissions.
In facts, the page stays blocked for me.
Could you please send a screenshot including NoScript's popup on the page?
Thanks.

I can't seem to get a screenshot with the NS drop down open.
What happens is that the page loads and I can read it, but after about 5 seconds it reloads the page and it goes completely white. I don't understand how this is possible. I turn off Temp. Trusted - nothing is trusted - and it still somehow triggers a page reload.

Refreshing a page doesn't require any script to work.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 1:08 pm I can't seem to get a screenshot with the NS drop down open.

If you want control on this, open about:config and set accessibility.blockautorefresh to true.
