Please help with 52.9.0 (32-bit) nightmare enigma today

Post by Netcape8 »

Hello everyone,

I still use FF 52.9.0 (32-bit) as my main bookmark heaven safe harbor . While I obviously use other browsers in 2025, but 52 remains my primary vault for all logins/bookmarks/...

Today, for no rational reason , my perfectly tailored 52 ESR with every extension set to my delight , would not load upon restart. I went to the task manager simply to understand the nature of it not showing.

Then some FF maintenance mode came in , and alas, I was stripped of every extension, making my FF look like a generic soulless Chromium notepad browser.

Sadly , the last backup with Mozback originates from 2015. I have all books/ toolbar / passwords saved and secured on a regular basis, but since everything was great, I never made a full ESR backup (including installed add ons) after 2015.

So I went to config to check xpinstal signatures :

I am slowly returning back to the old normal, but the NoScript extension is the biggest problem :

After some experimentation with the NoScript xpi file, there is no more error.

But sadly, JS NoScript is not functional. Every icon I put on my toolbar, is of no use :

On my fully functional FF, this was the icon :

NoScript Script is essential as breathing, how can I make it alive again?

Please advise , what can I do?

Thanks you for any input.

I have found a solution with the obsolete classic version :
