With Firefox 14 adding the click to play feature, this means that Java, Javascript, Flash, PDF embedded objects are disabled from running by default. This offers good protection against drive by malware attacks through active contents. Also the web is moving towards HTML5 and flash and java will be depreciated. What's the real of NoSciprt though, except that it offers more customization?

Your first sentence is incorrect: the click-to-play feature ONLY applies to plugins and NOT to javascript. CTP is not a replacement for Noscript at all as NS offers a lot more as explained on its features site and the FAQ, like an excellent protection against XSS and Clickjacking (among many other features).

BTW, Noscript and CTP work together very well. And the upcoming new version 3 will offer an even better fine-grained control of what is allowed and what is not.
