'ActiveX Filtering in the IE9 Release Candidate gives you greater control over how Web pages run on your PC. With ActiveX Filtering, you can turn off ActiveX controls for all Web sites and then turn them back on selectively as you see fit.

sound familiar? :P

Mozilla doesn't (generally) support ActiveX, so a non-issue for Mozilla users.

Now I haven't seen IE9 yet, but given what they've done with every other IE version, I'd like to see how seemless it works.

Plugins (NPAPI) are the equivalent in this case.

Here, the original blog post: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ie/archive/2011 ... umers.aspx (have fun reading the comment section)

Heh. And neat.

Many of the comments could easily pertain to FF too.
(FF often considered <usually by SeaMonkey types> as being "dumbed down".)
