a way to block floating video players?

Post by callingdoug »

many sites, especially news sites, have a video embedded in the article. I'm able to stop the video from auto-playing. But, when I scroll past some of them the video pops out into a floating window waiting to be played. It doesn't play, it just sits there and annoys me and blocks content on the website.

Is there a way with no script to block all of them? A site specific way to block them? Anything...

Within NoScript, your only option here is to just not allow Javascript on the site ("script" permission). But the fact you chose to allow it suggests that disabling it might break parts of the site you want to see.

NoScript is not really the right tool for this job. You might try uBlock Origin.
