I've had login issues recently, with this error message:

Something went wrong.

We can't get that information right now. Please try again later.

Back in October, I had to refresh Firefox and reinstall add-ons. I actually mentioned the problem here at the time. Then it happened again, tonight. I do not want to refresh Firefox every time this happens.

I can access Hotmail with Chrome. I can access Hotmail with Firefox in safe mode.

I only have NoScript and two video downloaders added to Firefox, so my guess is that NoScript is causing the error.

I have scripts associated with the site allowed, and it has certainly worked in the past—just the other day, in fact. Could something be going on with NoScript to cause these seemingly random errors?

Disable NoScript & test?

I did, with safe mode.

I have three hotmail accounts and my problem started after one of then was forced to update to the new UI.
It would give an error only late at night at the weekends when using noscript and FF other browsers seemed ok.
This went on for 4-5 weeks then last week my other two accounts had the update forced on them and then all three were down last weekend but now the error was happening all the time.

It is set to trusted but still gives the error, I have to click "disable restrictions for this tab" each time I want to view an email.

Actually I just checked and now it seems to be working ok again, very strange, not sure how long though.

Also just noticed this is an old thread.

I did, with safe mode.

Safe Mode disables all extensions.
You stated you have more then just NoScript.
Safe Mode also makes other changes.

Disabling NoScript alone may help to confirm if it is the cause of your issue.

I have to disable NoScript whenever I try to access Outlook Live (hotmail).

These are the only 3 scripts I allow to run in my online Outlook and hotmail email accounts.
Live.com, Microsoft.com, Office365.com

Never a problem with those accounts. If you use Skype you may need to allow Skype scripts.

I add in the white list

and its perfect with noscript 11.1.3
