What Happened Between 5 & 10 ?

5 worked in 56.
5 while a "hybrid", while containing both legacy & webex, was a webex to 56, no?

So why such a drastic change to bring out 10 ?

Why couldn't the code for 5 persist, be it a branch, "6" or whatever, as a webex only?

And you're going to say what, that 57 removed code & further limited extensions, such that what was possible for 56 is no longer possible in 57?

The UI for 5 could not be part of the embedded WebExtension. And not every feature is technically possible in Firefox 57 WebExtensions.
