Interfering with other extensions. Too complicated.

Post by siennk »

This is my....nth time trying NoSctipt.

NoScript keeps interfering with my other extensions, more specifically AllTabsHelper, Auto-Unload, and Auto-Private.

I keep trying to figure out how to fix the issue, but I have no clue. It's too complicated, and there's no real manual to follow what's going on with the extension.

Is there a formal instruction manual for how NoScript works? Particularly when it comes to the ABE function?

Better yet, is there a "tech stupid" Dummies version instruction manual?

e10s enabled or not?

In what way is it interfering?

e10s is multiprocess right? If so....I am not sure.

This is what reads in my about:config page

e10s.rollout.cohort = optedin
e10s.rollout.cohortSample = 0.048645
extensions.e10s.rollout.hasAddon = true
extensions.e10s.rollout.policy = 50allmpc
extensions.e10sBlockedByAddons = true
extensions.e10sBlocksEnabling = true
extensions.e10sMultiBlockedByAddons = true
extensions.e10sMultiBlocksEnabling = true

As for interfering:
- I can't scroll on sites unless I manually click the scrollbar
- AllTabsHelper, the search and duplicates function is no longer working
- Auto Private, no longer will open tabs in a private tab even when I manually select for a tab to open in a private tab
- Auto Unload Tab, the tabs stay unloaded no matter what. And when I try to close them, they stay stuck on the tab bar, and stay unclickable and unfunctionable. And refreshing the page doesn't help either.

Of these, the only one I could find is Auto-Private. Can you please post AMO links to the other two?

Go to about:support and let us know what it says for "Multiprocess Windows".

I tested Firefox 55.0.3, clean profile with only NoScript, Auto-Private, and Private Tab (to test manually selecting to open in a private tab). I get the same results both with and without NoScript enabled. On the first visit to a listed site, cookies are set, but it works fine after that.
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!
