Bug 1329731 Disabling JavaScript breaks Web Extensions

So presumably if not backported to FF 52 ESR, a WebExtension version of NoScript wouldn't really be viable there.

FF 52 seemingly supports webextensions.
NoScript, when it is a webextension, theoretically should work in FF 52.
NoScript is typically used to block JavaScript.
So by blocking JavaScript, a webextension version of NoScript would break itself.

Fun.

(Well, it sounds fun. But I'm probably missing something.)

IIUC, NoScript should not trigger that bug, as moz-extension: is on the mandatory whitelist.
