WebExtensions

Post by 8-bit »

Hello,

Excuse me for my lack of knowledge on this topic, but it is one I am greatly concerned about for many, many reasons. Will the new Firefox WebExtensions API mean there will be no further development of NS at the end of 2017? To me, this would be catastrophic.

Any info from senior moderators etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Moving to NoScript General.

NoScript will continue as a WebExtension. Some information here - viewtopic.php?f=8&t=22524#p86399
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!

MANY thanks for the info barbaz.

I am extremely grateful to know that NS will live on. It is the most essential extension for Firefox ever developed. I would feel a great loss of personal control without it. We need NS for both technical AND ethical reasons.

Thanks to Giorgio, and all the other contributors to NS for keeping it alive.
