This is Firefox or NoScript?
Firefox 44 - Ubuntu 64 bits (in < Version 44 .... no problem)
When I return to shell

Does disabling NoScript (Tools > Add-ons Manager > NoScript > Disable > Yes, remove ALL protections) stop the error?
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!

The problem is Firefox >= 44
Preferences -> Privacy -> Clear history when Firefox closes -> Cookies
I click and exit to shell

That doesn't actually answer the question...but it sounds like this is purely a Firefox issue, not related to NoScript. You'd have to ask Mozilla for help with that.

You can test since you use Linux 64 bits
Preferences -> Privacy -> Clear history when Firefox closes -> Cookies
You can test with or without NoScript.
