Sounds good from a security & interfacing perspective.

Having no clue, I wonder if MS, not publishing the source, would be able to change any of that basic safe interfacing behaviour without notice? Or if in similar style, a person not working for MS would be able to get an insecure change of code running while others were still trying to work out the source code?
