Brave browser private session with TOR

Post by wallart » Wed May 05, 2021 1:16 pm

I am viewing this page using Brave browser, private session with TOR.

When I view the NoScript extension icon (click on it), I see two items listed that are not related to this website. They are related to two tabs that I have open in a non-private Brave window.

I would put a screen-shot here, but I'm a noob, and don't see a noob way of doing it. How about this:

(Afterward: Actually, I was unable to post this item in the Brave private session. Had to switch over to non-private.)

Provided that you enabled NoScript for private windows, I can see what appears to be a Brave bug: private + Tor tabs are not accessible by the extension's background page, i.e. their tabId gets reported by the APIs but when you try to message them you got a "No tab with id: xy" error :)

Thank you so much! I'll take this matter over to Brave.
