Noscript is usually good at protecting me but I accidentally mistyped and went to youtube.cm and avast threw a fit about a virus from viralvideos.org even with noscript enabled. I dunno if noscript could block a thing like that but I just wanted to give a heads up

NoScript is not an anti-virus program per se, as there are other ways of delivering virus payloads than through active scripting. Both are vital parts of your defense. Thanks for sharing.

It looks like the Avast Network Shield blocked 119.82.30.245/glitterr.php. At least that's what the On-Access Protection Control panel reports. Avast also reports that 119.82.30.245 is a malicious web site if I try to get a report on it with whois.domaintools.com.

I suppose NoScript would protect you if it tried to attack with JavaScript.

Also keep in mind that avast! network shield actually monitors the packets and this means it will see the potentially "bad" site while its in transit to be stopped by NoScript on the user side, so it might have a slight head start but you are fine as long as its something that is blocked by the function of NoScript, even though as pointed out, its not an antivirus program.
