[Unrelated] Noscript still there after uninstall?

Post by NSfan »

Can anyone help please?

One of the websites I visit regularly won't load. I'm not suggesting it's because of Noscript but ...

I went to View Selection Source and noticed that were mentions of Noscript.

I have uninstalled Noscipt. Why would there be mentions of Noscript in the webpage's source?

Is the webmaster using Noscript in their code or has Noscript left artefacts in my (Firefox) browser?

An example is :

Code: Select all

</script></head><body><noscript>&lt;iframe src="https://www.googletagmanager.com/ns.html?id=
If Noscript has left something behind in my browser, how do I get rid of it completely?

I wondered if perhaps something had been left in about:config but nothing at all came up when I searched for "nosc".

<noscript> tag has nothing to do with NoScript.
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!

Because that's the name of the tag. It's the same as 'frame', 'font', ...
