Re: NoScript problem
There was a recent update to noscript that changed private browsing functionality to only allow temporary options.
There should be a tick box (I think) in the options for the latest stable version that allows you to disable this functionality, but heed the warning that it provides regarding your footprint / traffic.

How do you set things to "never keep history"?
Anyhow, it appears it may be another issue (different from Private Windows) that's cropped up with, Having noscript remember trusted sites.

Re: NoScript problem
Well that puts FF into a "permanent" Private Browsing mode, so that then is going to be the same issue.never keep history
And the latest #dev version of NoScript now allows an override so that you can again set permissions in Private Browsing (or, never keep history).
