11.0.4 Can no longer access youtube
11.0.4 Can no longer access youtube
Just updated to NS 11.0.4. Browser: Firefox 70.0 64-bit.
I went into the NoScript options and performed a "reset". After that I cleared all browser cache and closed out the browser. I re-opened Firefox and still cannot access https://www.youtube.com/
The address is in the browser, but the page is just blank.
Before updating the NoScript addon to 11.0.4, everything worked fine.

Re: 11.0.4 Can no longer access youtube
Have you got other possibly related add-ons, such as BlockTube?

Re: 11.0.4 Can no longer access youtube
BlockTube is the culprit for me. Having it enabled causes Youtube to appear completely blank, but disabling it lets me access Youtube like normal

Re: 11.0.4 Can no longer access youtube
I actually just updated to 11.0.5rc2
That fixed it! Also, I'm no longer getting a plethora of console logs saying: [NoScript] Some script managed to be inserted in the DOM while fetching policy, blocking it.
Thank you so much!

Re: 11.0.4 Can no longer access youtube
Well.. I spoke too soon.
It's getting blocked again, and console is saying stuff like:
[NoScript] Blocked some scripts on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBw2VFsRXao even though they are actually permitted by policy.
and a few:
[NoScript] Some script managed to be inserted in the DOM while fetching policy, blocking it.
Thus making the page blank.

Re: 11.0.4 Can no longer access youtube
Using 68esr with Noscript 11.0.6rc2 and I can longer make youtube work unless I disable restrictions globally. Normally I would just need to trust youtube.com.
This is happening with the old layout where I'm spoofing the user agent with IE11. With the new layout it appears to work but is horrible to use.
There's no problem with 11.0.3 and the old layout so I've gone back to that.

Re: 11.0.4 Can no longer access youtube
For 68esr 11.0.6rc3 seems to fixed it with youtube.
But it has done something strange to 72 nightly. 11.0.6rc3 is slowing my whole system to a crawl. Opening programs or working with Office has become unbelievably sluggish. When disabling noscript everything returns to normal. Never seen an addon do that before.
Interestingly, 11.0.4 in the nightly was not having the problem with youtube and the old layout that 68esr was so for now I've gone back to that version.

Re: 11.0.4 Can no longer access youtube
Ok, 11.0.6rc2 seems to be working great for me. No issues with Youtube anymore, and nothing at all is "sluggish"...
I'll go ahead and update to 11.0.6rc3 to see if I experience the sluggishness that was discussed.

Re: 11.0.4 Can no longer access youtube
Well, I gotta honestly say, 11.0.6rc3 appears to make everything work much faster! Youtube loads super-quick now just like pre 11.0.4.
I'm VERY happy with 11.0.6rc3 !

After using it for a while it's doing it 68esr too.
Go to this lottery site and and set the all this page to temporarily trusted:
https://nylottery.ny.gov/quick-draw/pas ... ng-numbers
Then try copying data into word or opening programs, it's unbearably sluggish. For now, I've gone back to previous versions.

So clicking on your link, the page is super fast, but I did notice a ton of noscript console messages:Guest wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 4:17 pm After using it for a while it's doing it 68esr too.

There might be some differences between Win 7 (mine) and Win 10 affecting performance but at least for me, 11.0.6rc3 is causing major issues with system slow down. There's no problems with 11.0.3 so I'll just stay with that version for now.
