The problem should be fixed now.
Based upon the release notes & some things not in the release notes, I say not.
(Certainly not fully.)

Even including continuing ESR 60 issues.

Release Notes - 60.6.2 Firefox ESR

Quite the little snafu they brought upon themselves.

Split the question about Chromium and incognito mode to viewtopic.php?f=7&t=25539 as it is totally unrelated to this Firefox issue.

The only solution is to disable verification certificates, doesn't really seem like a secure move. Going camping till this is fixed, j/k.

You were somewhat lucky. Waterfox is affected too, it's just not quite as severe as Firefox. See https://github.com/MrAlex94/Waterfox/issues/936

I'm running XP sp3, because one day Firefox decided that newer versions will not run on my XP sp3,
so far DON'T care I'll stick the last version they allow me to run... 52.9.0
BUT a few days ago the CYBER-BULLIES came back and turned off my NoScript...
Because ... some crap could not be verified..."
Well I rather use a expired version of NoScript than NOTHING
so here is what I found:
Go to -- about:config, search for--- xpinstall
then 5 lines will show up... on the following 3

services.sync.prefs.sync.install.whitelist.required
xpinstall.signatures.required
xpinstall.whitelist.required

right click on the "value" column and select : toggle
the value will become --- false

Close the tab, Restart Firefox, BANG ... PRESTO=== MY NOSCRIPT IS BACK
I don give a @#$^% about install signatures and whitelists
: I know that if I install shit, shit will rain on me... no Firefox to blame
YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN ! ! Don't Blame nobody but yourself
so IF YOU DO IT be DOUBLE-SUPER-EXTRA CAREFUL OF WHAT YOU INSTALL

@Rob-Bob: For 52 ESR you only need toggle "xpinstall.signatures.required" to false. And please tone it down, I understand the frustration but that level of expressing it here is really pushing Forum Rules (note #4). Thanks.

Ugh... I run that version to AVOID crap like this happening in the first place!

Hotfix deployed here in ESR 60 and NoScript is back. I agree 110% about sticking with ESR to avoid this sort of thing though - darned cheek!

before I updated FF60 ESR from 60.6.1 to 60.6.2 I delete the cert9.db file from my Firefox user profile folder, then manually download & install FF 60.6.2 and then load FF 60 ESR, which will create a new cert9.db file. Noscript along with uBlock origin started to work properly again.

BTW, 66.0.5 broke the extensions again. I turned on studies, restarted the browser, and the extensions came back. I then turned off studies and all seems ok now.
