cloud settings support

Post by adamf663 »

I get a bit tired of having to re-whitelist sites at every browser I use.

Is there any chance noscript might get the ability to save settings through a firefox account so that all browsers would be in sync?

(I know nothing of [FF] sync, but wouldn't that be a glaring fault of sync if it failed to backup/sync extension preferences?
Oh yeah, extension preferences are no longer in prefs.js.
Wonder who came up with that idea?

"Add-ons: put a check mark in this box if you want to synchronize your add-ons across your devices."
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/ho ... nc-firefox

It says "add-ons", but doesn't specifically say an add-ons settings (preferences)?
does backing up an "add-on" also include that add-ons settings
Not by default. Add-ons can have their settings backed up by sync of they want but they have to do work for it.
Not quite sure what "work" means, but I guess that would be work by Giorgio ;-).)

Oh, so its a FF bug. Sweet.

Sweeter yet, a solution:

(Just wait till FF follows Chrome down the Manifest V3 rabbit hole.)
