Whitelisting *.gov

Post by nouser1 »

Is it possible to whitelist all .gov websites?
I haven't been able to get a successful result when using *.gov, since it treats the asterisk as part of the domain name.

Whitelisting an entire TLD is a bad idea. Even for a "relatively safe" TLD like .gov. You would be more secure only whitelisting the specific .gov websites you need.

If you really need to do it anyway, and if you're using NoScript 10, you could try going to NoScript Options > Per-site Permissions, and manually set "gov" to Trusted.

Can you explain what you mean?
I haven't seen results by whitelisting *.gov, and I can't add .gov without putting in an actual domain name.
Is there a regex or other method I should be using?
