Site xen-media.com is attempting to run on every page

Hello,

I have recently noticed that NoScript detects script(s) from the site xen-media.com is running on every page I load, no matter where. I am running Ubuntu 18.04 x86_64 and Firefox 63, NoScript 10.1.9.9. I have marked the site as Untrusted in NoScript.

It has been tough to find anything about this site or any related organization. Using the function in NoScript to check the integrity of the site doesn't seem to turn anything up. I don't see any connections being made in long-running netstat output. Packet tracing could help, that may be a next step.

Has anyone heard of this site? I'm thinking about just reinstalling Firefox, but at the same time I am a bit curious. Thanks for any recommendations.

Most likely one of your installed extension is trying to monetize you through an injection from that domain.
You may want to use Standard Diagnostic|sd to quickly isolate it.

I found that the add-on "Youtube Download Helper v3.3" was the culprit, it has been disabled.

Thank you very much for your quick response and even more so, your excellent work. It is truly superlative.

Not only is the security of so many users improved and their productivity improved through faster browsing, but the energy saved from keeping all those unwanted scripts running is a boon to everyone, everywhere!!
