[Unrelated] Origin.com

Post by Kami »

I can not login to EA's website "Origin.com" because it opens in a pop up, and hides noscript so that I can not see which websites to allow.

Any fix?
Suggestions?

Try:
about:config > set dom.disable_window_open_feature.toolbar to true

Does it help?

Where do I find about:config?
Are you talking about NoScript config or FireFox config? I can find about in neither.

Type or paste into Firefox's address bar:

Code: Select all

about:config

URL: https://signin.ea.com/p/originX/login?e ... login.html

Code: Select all

https://signin.ea.com/p/originX/login?execution=e165691577s1&initref=https%3A%2F%2Faccounts.ea.com%3A443%2Fconnect%2Fauth%3Fresponse_type%3Dcode%26client_id%3DORIGIN_SPA_ID%26display%3DoriginXWeb%252Flogin%26locale%3Den_US%26redirect_uri%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fwww.origin.com%252Fviews%252Flogin.html
And yes, you do not get any NoScript icon in the popup window.
(Opened directly, in an actual tab, you do.)
If you had shortcut keys, that would (likely) be a help, but FF doesn't allow that (still?).

Setting 'dom.disable_window_open_feature.toolbar' to true, does work.

KB: about:config.

K, I set about:config 'dom.disable_window_open_feature.toolbar' to true, and now I can't click the x to close that window. I have to click x on the tab, to close the window. The popup login still does not allow NoScript to be viewed.
The suggestion did not work.

Where do you have the NoScript icon located?

I see now that all it did was allow tabs on the popup window.

Ok, I now see that I have to stretch the window or click the double right arrow >> to locate NoScript. That worked.
But, I can not get the Origin login to work correctly. None of the items listed help when allowing them, even if I set to temp allow whole page.

If I click "Sign In" it puts me back to the original origin.com tab, and states sign in temporarily out of service. I have to delete the cookies to try again.
If I disable NoScript as an addon, the origin site doesn't even load. That is really weird.

k, I figured out that my problem is actually Ghostery. idk y, since it isn't blocking anything.
If I disable ghostery, the site lets me login fine. (I wonder if they are detecting my addons and blocking me due to ghostery.)

Thanks for your help with learning more about NoScript! The login page works!
