turn off the "blocked objects" feature

Post by slickrcbd »

I'm still using the older version of Firefox because too many of my essential extensions are not supported under the new system. As far as I'm concerned it is as big or bigger a change than the move from Mozilla to Firefox a decade ago.
In any case, back in this thread I talked about blocked objects
https://forums.informaction.com/viewtop ... =7&t=23774

Is there any way to turn that feature for "blocked objects", along with the anti-clickjacking feature annoyance that blocks movie controls off? All it does is annoy me and provide aggravation, I can't think of a single instance where those features have been beneficial.

Alternately, make it so I can block unwanted objects, by the default is to allow. In other words a blacklist instead of a white list.

To disable clickjacking protection: NoScript Options > Advanced > ClearClick, un-check both boxes

As for objects, try setting NoScript Options > Embeddings to look like this -
[deleted]

Then, for sites you want to block objects, Mark as Untrusted.

Does it work?

I'm sorry, I did not get an e-mail alert, and between working 2 jobs and just having had a six-day, 56 hour week I forgot about the post.
I haven't seen a clickjack in the time since, and it seemed to have stopped blocking archive.org's stuff, but I haven't done extensive testing yet.

It seems I'm signed up with my Hotmail account, I've been having trouble with alerts on other forums with them, I'm going to try switching e-mail accounts.

I am using NS version 10.1.6.6rc2 and I don't see any ClearClick box when I open NS Options.

Nor do I see Embeddings. Have they been superceded in my version?

off-topic: ClearClick hasn't been ported to NoScript 10 yet. Embeddings is somewhat replaced by the settings of Default/Trusted/Untrusted presets.
