Blocked audio doesn't always show up in NS menu

Post by barbaz »

I listen to internet radio on Tunein.com. I set up NoScript's whitelist so that when I visit a station page, I only need to go NoScript menu > Blocked Objects, and Temporarily allow the blocked <audio>, and the stream will start playing.

If I pull up the NoScript menu too soon, the Blocked Objects sub-menu doesn't display at all. Nor does the domain hosting the audio stream show up in the script listing, which does otherwise get dynamically updated.
Sometimes the blocked object will show up if I close and re-open the NoScript menu. Other times it requires a page reload before it shows up.
(And yes it's definitely always NoScript blocking the stream.)

I'm using NoScript 5.1.8.4rc3 on Waterfox 56.0.4. I tested clean profile in both Waterfox and Firefox 56.0.2, and in both cases I could only partially reproduce this behavior.

Why isn't Blocked Objects dynamically updating like the rest of the NS menu?
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!
