not sure if it's since the last update, but just noticed a bunch of trusted sites on the setting page, like it was when i first installed NS(even though i already removed them by making them default.)
and i also had to re configure the default behavior of "default",meaning uncheck the 3 boxes that are checked, even though I've already done that.
and i also lost the my trusted sites on the setting page list.
is it normal?

Perhaps you Reset settings by mistake. If you have a copy of your Settings, Import them back.

If it happens to you again (randomly) and you're sure you didn't change anything, do report back. I have the same issue, would be nice to know I'm not the only one.

Re: lost all my seetings
I've had the same issue repeatedly since NoScript 10 released (across all versions). I only keep about half a dozen sites as trusted, so it's pretty obvious when it reverts me back to the default settings (that is, the whitelist returned by defaultOptions() in Policy.js).
It occurs right at startup, and I've been unable to reproduce the error when starting with Firefox.exe -jsconsole, so I don't get any useful logs. It's highly intermittent (maybe one out of five restarts), and I haven't been able to force it to happen.
I'm on Windows 7 x64 running Firefox x64 v57.0.3 and NoScript 10.1.6.2. I've had the issue since Firefox 57.0 and NoScript 10.1.1

Same specs, same problem (as stated in my previous post). I too can't link it to anything, nor reproduce it.win7x64 wrote:I've had the same issue repeatedly since NoScript 10 released (across all versions). I also experience it. Not all sites - I have quite many - but some and only occassionally.

Re: lost all my seetings
i've started this thread, and it just happened again and i think i know why:
uninstalled ccleaner then installed new version, ran the cleaner and there it is;settings in NS are back to default/reset.
i didn't change any of my settings in CC,it's the default ones.
meaning next time i'll update CC this might occur again.

Yep, there's your culprit.
Never let CCleaner near anything Firefox. It is well known to damage Firefox profiles.

I don't use CCleaner and haven't cleared anything Firefox related for months now and settings are still lost upon startup at random intervals.barbaz wrote:Yep, there's your culprit.
