Permissions being forgotten between Firefox sessions

Post by Brains Ironically »

NoScript forgets settings when I restart Firefox.

For example,

I go to IMDB.com. I have to allow imdb.com, media-imdb.com, something-amazon.com. Additionally, I have to tell Noscript to "always" allow cross-scripting to two sites and to "always" deny cross-scripting to two other sites.

Shutdown Firefox; restart; go to IMDB and repeat all the settings.

Multiply this times every site I go to, every day, and it becomes a giant pain in the brown-eye.

What I've tried:
- removed the extension, rebooted, reinstalled the extension: no joy.
- removed the extension, removed Firefox, ran ccleaner to clear FF from the registry, rebooted, reinstalled FF, then the extension: no joy.

Thoughts?

I believe you may only be TEMPORARILY allowing them, as clicking on the Trusted setting automatically expands the clock (meaning temp allow) - click the clock icon in the trusted tab to contract it and it will be a permanent rule.

Do NOT allow ccleaner to touch anything related to Firefox. It is known to cause problems. I have read many a post at the Mozillazine site about this very topic.
