[Resolved] NoScript on Android does nothing

Post by bencaradocdavies »

NoScript 10.1.2 on Android seems to do nothing (Firefox 57). Scripts from Default sources run as if NoScript was not installed.

Thanks @barbaz, I had read that, just confirming the suspicion and providing my test report.

NoScript 10.1.5 on Android now blocks all JavaScript, which is a massive improvement, but makes pages that require JavaScript unusable (Reddit I am looking at you). The NoScript per-page settings are blank. Workaround is to turn the NoScript plugin off while viewing pages that require JavaScript.

NoScript 10.1.2 was actually working under Firefox for Android, when configuring the site specific settings.

But with NoScript 10.1.3c1 and later versions up to 10.1.5.8rc1, the site specific settings are empty and the top row buttons there seem to do nothing.

While NoScript now does block JavaScript under Firefox for Android (with its default settings, respectively the ones which have been set with v10.1.2), its site specific settings have become completely dysfunctional after 10.1.2!

Exactly. With those blank settings i dont know if noscript is working or not. I asked for this but got no answer.

It is working, but has basically become a global "JavaScript off" switch with NoScript 10.1.3c1 and higher (with its default filter settings rsp. what you have set before), which is pretty useless. Note that the default settings also include some whitelisted sites.
See https://forums.informaction.com/viewtop ... 10&t=24042 for more detailed information.
