How do I get the NoScript for Firefox 57 "Quantum" to work?

In the previous version of NoScript I could view all the scripts that were blocked, chose one to temporarily allow, and if it proved useful I could permanently allow it. Unfortunately on the Firefox 57 version I cannot do this. Even if I set a script to trusted NoScript will not allow this script to run. As a result if a script has not already been approved by NoScript I cannot run it, which prevents me access content on websites.

A guide on how to use this new version would be useful.

There is an unofficial guide from another forum user. Everything is very much in upheaval at the moment; please be patient.

You might even want to switch to Firefox 52 and stay on NoScript 5 for now.
