Suggestion for Close button: change from U+1f5d9 to U+24e7 ⓧ

Post by jawz101 »

The existing character is unicode 7

This character ⓧ is unicode 1.1.0 which seems more compatible

... or search for 'X', 'close', or 'cancel' here to see if another looks better

This might be related: my close button icon is broken and just shows a box with the unicode.

Same, mine just shows a box with Unicode in it. Seems it works for some and not others, any reason for that?

NoScript appears to rely on a font that some people don't have installed -

update: you all may want to update. Looks like Giorgio fixed it in today's version 10.1.2

Well, not totally. Mine is a question mark enclosed in brackets (macOS) - should just be an X

I'm working with the updated version 10.1.2., but the missing icon for Close is still as shown in post number 5.

Do you all see an X inside a circle in the thread title? If so, perhaps it's the one NoScript should use
