[RESOLVED] Block all videos from loading

Post by infria »

In NoScript Quantum, is there a way to block all videos on every site from loading? I recall that this could be done in a previous version.

click on an icon and underneath it should show options to uncheck for media, images, and frames. That's usually where those things reside. I mark all obvious third party sites as untrusted and that should take care of it as well.

Thank you, but I think I'm missing something obvious here. When you say click on an icon, these icons are options for individual websites, right? But I want to block all videos from all websites. Is that possible?

The confusion is that Default, Trusted, and Untrusted are actually globally set- even though they show up on every domain. The only unique one for that particular domain is Custom.
So, if you disable Media on Default and Untrusted from any of the domain entries - that will globally block videos on by default and on untrusted sites as well.

It's screwy how he's laid it out right now. The Default, Trusted, and Untrusted choices shouldn't be here. They should be on the global screen so you know they are universally set.

Check out my mockup here :

Excellent explanation, thanks! And great mockup. I hope a design like that can be adopted as NoScript Quantum continues to evolve.
