Has the meaning of "No" changed?

Post by djl47 »

The old NoScript worked in a way that only scripts authorized by the user would run.
With NoScript 10 on Quantum I keep finding sites such as google-analytics repeatedly unlocked even after I locked the icon and set it to untrusted. It seems like "No" has a more elastic meaning than I thought possible.
Second I don't always want the site I navigate to running scripts that often flood my connection with advertisements. I prefer many sites to be unable to run scripts. All of this could be configured in the old NoScript using an intuitive UI.

How are you determining that these things are happening?
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!

By changing the option to untrusted, locking the site then letting NoScript refresh the page and looking at the list again.

I don't think the lock does what you think it does. If you hover over it it says 'match HTTPS content only'. At least it does for me.

You may need to take it out of your default whitelist.

How is that done with the new UI?
