Missing the "button" at the top right of Firefox browser

This happened briefly a couple days ago. The button used to allow or forbid scripts at the top right of the Firefox (56.0.1) browser had disappeared. I closed and restarted the browser and the button returned to its normal place.

Now, it's just gone.

I do have the NoScript extension installed. I downloaded the new version from the NoScript home page, as Firefox was running a previous version in legacy mode.

This new version is also running in legacy mode? A few other extensions are, as well.

After the download, the button did not return.

Do I need to remove and reinstall the extension? Or is there an easy way to get the scripts button back?

Thanks!
