[FIX] Fx 56 - NoScript icon disappeared on 5.1.2 update

Updating to FF 56.0.1 solved the problem, at least in my case.

Nothing worked for me until i updated firefox. After the update noscript also updated (again) but this time it gave me a normal screen stating updated to version 5.1.2.

The problem started with an auto. update from noscript stating that it was updated to v 5.1.2 but that i was still running the old version and should update, that was weird. And then i saw that the noscript icon was missing. The fixes that other people had, did not work for me and someone mentioned having a issue after ff update. I had not updated it yet so did that since it seems to be a compatibility issue between ff and noscript and i did not have a better idea. But it solved the noscript problem for me.

I think there is a mistake by you in the latest build because if I click here - https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/noscript/ (without delete the addon) on "add to firefox" the Icon appears instantly after "install".

So when I close FF 56 and reopen, the Icon disappears again until I "install" via addon site the addon again.

scusa se rispondo in italiano ma non saprei come spiegarlo. Oggi ho aggiornato No Script e adesso anch io non ho più le icone e si può dire che non funziona proprio, fino a ieri con la versione vecchia tutto ok. L'icona non c'è e neanche le opzioni varie

All you, also those who fixed it by restarting in safe mode, could you please post the list of your extensions (from about:support)?
Even if we've got a few report, I'm still unable to reproduce this issue and I'd really like to pinpoint it, no matter if a work-around seems to exist. Thanks!

Updating to FF 56.0.1 solved the problem, at least in my case.

Unfortunately FF 56 x64 caused many probs to me, including FF never closing and needed to be closed from Task Manager resulting in history and cookies disappearing. I suppose other people with FF x64 have this issue too so downgrading to FF 55 was a must.

Firefox menu > Help (?) > Restart with Add-ons disabled
Click the [Continue in Safe Mode] button
Restart the browser again normally: NoScript UI should be back now
Please report here the list of your add-ons as shown in about:support

After that all my add-ons including no-script icon are appeared once more and now it seems it works.
