If your data and settings are still good it's not too late to transfer it to a new profile as suggested.

If NoScript is a hybrid extension where some of it supports web extensions and some does not, can the subset that is compatible with web extensions be made available?
Though this could be a huge subset of the current NoScript functionality, something is better than nothing and it gives a baseline. New functionality can be added as the Firefox web extension APIs are built out.

@sessell: My understanding is that NoScript Webext is slated to come out sometime today (13 Nov), hold tight.

Well, now it's really time to release the Webext version.

Something to consider: There has been a huge debate about Webextensions. Many people who heard of Firefox deprecating the old API also heard complaints from addon authors, that they won't support WebExt. It's too much work etc etc. And many users responded with something like: "Addon XY was the only and last reason for me to use firefox. If it doesn't work anymore, I will use Chrome".

For those users it's immensely important that NoScript will run on FF57 release day. Even if it's bugged. They have to see: Ok, NoScript is compatible, maybe bugged, but being worked on. I will give it a try.
Please release NoScript, no matter what state it is in now. It's a psychological thing. Bugged, compatible Noscript is better than a "bugfree" version in a week or two. If something doesnt work, they can turn off the addon. But it has to show up as compatible.

Just my two cents...

It'd be nice if high-level migration status overviews were posted to the main page at noscript.net.

I'm specifically interested in full feature parity and am willing to hold off on installing FF57 until this is achieved (or until FF56 security vulnerabilities become too problematic, whichever comes first). I'm hoping to be able to check some place periodically to monitor the progress to that end (preferably without having to read through various discussions).

.

I have been using FF57 for 14+ weeks [Nightly -> Beta -> Release]. It is a great improvement!

I have replaced all my extensions either by ports or alternatives with the exception of NS. I can live with a dumbed down version until FF58.

Note, I was also able to use userChrome to tweak the UI for a number of things I preferred.

The apocalypse that was predicted is unlikely to happen. :D

13th almost over and still no sign. What is going on? It seems a little silly to me that hundreds of other add-ons have made the transition in time for 57 but NoScript hasn't.

Let's put it this way. If it comes out now, it will be the first time I've seen a release without first seeing a release candidate. If looks like a miss to me folks. I've been using uMatrix in the FF 57 beta.

Before Firefox 57 is released in the stable channel, a pure WebExtension NoScript will be available an you'll be automatically migrated to it.
This is what "get it!" (https://noscript.net/getit) page says.

At 15h (Spanish time) will be realesed officially, so it should be available before this time (less than 4 hours ;) )
