NoScript blocking Firefox live bookmarks
NoScript blocking Firefox live bookmarks
Recently (I don't know exactly when) NoScript has started to block live bookmarks (RSS feeds) in Aurora. Fx reports "Live Bookmark feed failed to load" and NoScript reports that it has blocked the site. If I temporarily allow scripts from the site in NoScript, then the feed works again.
Is this the result of a change in Fx or in NoScript? Is there some workaround (other than telling NoScript to allow scripts from the site)?

Re: NoScript blocking Firefox live bookmarks
I can confirm this in official SeaMonkey nightly 20160509003002 (linux64) and my existing live-bookmarks. Not only is it required to whitelist the site but also a browser restart is required to make live bookmarks load.
(WOW, gtk3 "default theme" with anything other than Raleigh is such an eyesore!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank the SeaMonkey devs for Modern theme!)
Tried to use the Net monitor in the browser toolbox, but the gtk3 "default theme" hurt my eyes and half the stuff wasn't really readable and I think the network request didn't seem to even make it that far anyway...
I get this Browser Console message:
Sorry but I've no time for my usual debugging/investigation of these things (like maybe finding regression range of Nightlies, checking clean profile, etc).

RSS: site whitelisted but still don't work
I'm trying to add the RSS from https://motherboard.vice.com/rss and firefox do not show anything. I already have whitelisted vice.com and still do not work... but if i disable noscript, it works fine
my lwn.net rss and ycombinator "hacker news" also stopped working and after some debug i found it is the same problem:
http://lwn.net/headlines/newrss
http://blog.ycombinator.com/posts.atom
It worked fine a few weeks ago, so is suspect this last (or few last) updates broke this
Thanks for no script

Anything from NoScript in the Browser Console (Ctrl+Shift+J) when you do this?

Re: NoScript blocking Firefox live bookmarks
Just wanted to bump this thread. I am still running into this issue.
Is there any way I can help debug or contribute a patch or something to fix this?

Re: NoScript blocking Firefox live bookmarks
Sure, if you can get a patch working that would be awesome!
You can PM the patch to Giorgio Maone and he'll review it & get the fix in NoScript.
