Hello,
I am running windows 7 pro, using firefox. I installed noscript, and upon restarting my browser, I was presented this page:
Image

Noscript _recommends_ to install a program called SpeedUpMyPc there (link on the right side of this image)
I installed this program, but I noticed it actually slows down my browser.
How do I delete this? Why does noscript recommend I install malware on my pc? I am EXTREMELY annoyed now!

Yes thank you

the real question is of course: why does noscript advocate the use of malware in the first place?
I really would like to have an answer on that.

Can we still trust noscript on it having the best intentions? The trust is breached here for sure.

actually it is malware.
the software performs amongst others a registry scan, and it will ALWAYS come back with an error report, urging the user to have the problem fixed.
The only way to fix it then is to BUY the software of course. (for a hefty price too)

If you dont want to call it malware, fine. It surely is misleading and it does fall into the category of scams and scareware.

I'm annoyed that every time noscript is updated and directs me to the update notification website, my antivirus pops up that it blocked traffic from uniblue.

I'd personally rather support the developers by paying for noscript than getting directed to their website containing ads that set off my antivirus... just my 2 cents though.

This is already possible.
Donate to NoScript, then
NoScript Options > Notifications, un-check "Display the release notes on updates"
