False positive on Dropbox

Post by saladgoat »

Someone sent me a link to something on Dropbox. When I got there, the NoScript little blue S symbol was lit up and no option to "temporarily allow", so I clicked Download as .zip but then I got the message Failed to download zip. So I click on the blue S and see that there is one script that needs to be allowed. But it's a blue S! Doesn't that mean the whole page is allowed? Why is there still something not allowed?

Please fix or tell me what I am doing wrong?
Thanks!

Not seeing anything like that here (yet?), but FWIW you're not the only one reporting Screwy Icon Status Indicators.
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!

As of June 23, 2014, I had an issue where I'd get the message "Failed to download zip" even after permitting dropbox.com. I added dropboxusercontent.com to the whitelist through NoScript's options panel and was able to resolve the issue. Apparently the "Download" dropdown runs JavaScript that requests content from dropboxusercontent.com, but it doesn't load or appear on the page until you click the download button. Thus, it doesn't appear in NoScript's list of blocked servers.
May your deeds return to you tenfold,

Does it show in the "Recently blocked sites" submenu?
