Missing icons

Post by Jojo999 »

Looks like NS is causing icons not to display in both m old version of FF and in most up-to-date version of PaleMoon. See:

Can this be fixed?

Are you suggesting that I should clear the checkmark from "Forbid @font-face" in NS Options|Embeddings? Or?

That would fix the icons, but that's a bad idea. You would be better off going to the Blocked Objects menu and temp-allowing each webfont as you need it.

If you visit a site with a needed (blocked) webfont frequently, you'll possibly want to persistently whitelist that font through noscript.allowedMimeRegExp.
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!

Well, I did uncheck the "Forbid @font-face" line in the Embeddings tab, but it did absolutely nothing, even after clearing cache and restarting the browser. So I have to question of the root of this problem is something to do with fonts.

Please create a clean profile from scratch. Install only NoScript, leaving all the defaults.
Does the problem still exist? If not, NoScript is not the culprit.

Try adding back your extensions, one at a time, until you find the one that causes the issue.
Then remove all the others, pairing only the suspected one with NoScript, to confirm that the remaining one is the issue.
If the problem is solved even with all add-ons reinstalled, then the previous profile was probably corrupt. Problem solved.

Let us know, thanks.
