Possible problem
Go here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/3.5/releasenotes/
Click on RC2 candidate bottom.
You end up here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/d ... lang=en-US
The button and the download are for 3.0.11
Repeat, but select Temporarily allow all on this page
The download for Firefox RC2 starts and downloads the correct version.

Re: Firefox RC2 candidate download issue
Behaviour confirmed:
navigate with no scripts allowed to
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/3.5/releasenotes/
3 buttons, one each for Windows, OS X and linux are displayed
choose/click any of the buttons and arrive at
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/d ... lang=en-US
links for LSR Fx for Windows, OS X and linux, plus links for LSR Thunderbird for the 3 systems.
navigate to
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/3.5/releasenotes/
toggle noscript to allow main domain
A single button for Windows displayed
choose/click it and arrive at the same link, but with the download of RC2 automated by the scripts.
NS behaviour is as expected.
For whether the Mozilla site behaviour is how you would like it, maybe take the problem to the Mozilla forums?

Re: Firefox RC2 candidate download issue
It is bad behavior, in that it is a poor way the page was coded by Mozilla.
It is not due to NoScript.
If you disable NoScript, then disable JavaScript ("manually"), you will see you get the same results.
