Google Maps broken in Mozilla SeaMonkey (think Firefox)

subject: Google Maps broken in Mozilla SeaMonkey (think Firefox)::
NoScript allowed-sites change fixes "suddenly broken" Google Maps::
"Issues while using Firefox or other browsers"::
Google Maps loads background, but not arrows, tool bars, etc;
PROBLEM SOLUTION ALSO PROVIDED

Dear Ones,

The real problem was Google adding GSTATIC.COM to their mapping page.

Then NoScript did its job of keeping my computer safe from rogue sites that
want to run scripts--it blocked GSTATIC.COM from running scripts.

This resulted in the mapping page never finishing its page rendering.

SOLUTION: Change allowed-sites in NoScript to ALLOW scripts from GSTATIC.COM.

...

The official Google HELP PAGE did not contain the solution, but it said enough
for me to enable scripts globally and verify the problem was gone. ...
From there I only needed to figure out which site was new and needing scripts.

Issues while using Firefox or other browsers

Reconfiguring the way your browser handles JavaScript may resolve this problem. If you're using Mac OS X or Windows with Mozilla Firefox 0.8+, Mozilla 1.4+, or Netscape 7.1+, just follow these steps:

1. Type 'about:config' (without quotes) in the browser's address bar.
2. Type 'image' (without quotes) in the 'Filter' field.
3. Verify that 'dom.disable_image_src_set' is set to FALSE. [NOTE: Already set this way.]
4. Verify that 'network.image.imageBehavior' is set to 0 (the default setting). Note: 'network.image.imageBehavior' may appear as 'permissions.default.image' for some browsers. [NOTE: My SeaMonkey has this value as 1 and I left it that way. My solution only required a NoScript configuration change.]

If you continue to experience difficulties, you may want to uninstall any programs or extensions that change the way your browser handles JavaScript. Other users have reported that these programs may affect the ability to view the maps. [This was my solution: NoScript reconfigured to allow Google's new site to run scripts.]

If you're encountering a problem where the map fails to load and the status is stuck on 'loading...,' there may be an issue with your Skype extension. To test, please try this link:

If the link provided above doesn't provide an answer, please either disable this extension or get the latest version. To learn more, check out:
